GETMEMO is a Chrome extension that provides a simple scratch-memo pad in your browser toolbar. It is designed to operate entirely on your own device. No data is ever sent to Greenleaf Planning, Google, or any remote server.

What we collect

Nothing. GETMEMO does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on any remote or cloud server. There is no account, no login, and no analytics.

What stays on your device

• Your memos (titles, text, and their order) are saved locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.local. This data stays on your machine.

Optional local sync (on your PC only)

GETMEMO can optionally talk to a small companion program that you install and run on your own computer, reachable only at http://127.0.0.1:5152 (localhost — your machine, never the internet). Its only purpose is to let the same notes appear across the browsers on your PC (for example Brave, Edge, and Chrome), since each browser otherwise keeps its storage separate.

• This connection never leaves your computer. Nothing is sent over the internet.
• The companion program is optional. If it is not running, GETMEMO works fully offline using only local browser storage.
• No third party — including Greenleaf Planning and Google — can access this local channel.

Permissions and why they are needed

• Storage — used solely to save your memos locally inside the browser so they persist between sessions.
• Host access to 127.0.0.1:5152 — used solely for the optional local sync described above. This is a loopback address on your own machine; it is never a remote server.

No third parties

GETMEMO makes no requests to the internet. The only network activity is the optional loopback connection to your own PC described above. No data is shared with Greenleaf Planning, Google, or any other party.
