No data collectedNo network requestsRuns entirely in your browser
FitView is a Chrome extension that makes the video on the current page fill your browser
window without black bars. It runs entirely inside your own browser. No data
is ever sent to Greenleaf Planning, Google, or any remote server.
What we collect
Nothing. FitView does not collect, transmit, or store any personal
information. There is no account, no login, no analytics, and no settings saved to any server.
How FitView works
When you click the toolbar icon, FitView finds the largest video on the current page and
changes its on-screen size and styling (CSS) so it fills the window.
All of this happens locally in the page you are viewing. FitView reads the page only to
locate the video element and adjust how it is displayed.
FitView makes no network requests of its own. It does not send the page
content, the video, or anything else off your device.
Permissions and why they are needed
Access to the pages you visit (<all_urls>) — videos can
appear on any website, so FitView needs to run on the page you are watching. This access is used
solely to find the video and change how it is displayed. No page content is ever transmitted off
your device.
All frames — many players (news sites, live streams) embed the video inside
an iframe. FitView needs to reach into those subframes to resize the video there too.
activeTab / scripting — used only to run FitView on the current tab when you
click the icon, including tabs that were already open before the extension was installed.
No third parties
FitView makes no requests to the internet and shares no data with Greenleaf Planning,
Google, or any other party.
